Delicate Balance – Pleated Inkcap and Fly (Parasola sp.)

A small fly rests on the finely pleated cap of a Parasola mushroom, creating a scene defined by delicacy, proportion and balance. The translucent radial folds of the cap form an almost graphic pattern, while the insect introduces a contrasting point of weight and movement.
